About the Menus ....

Well we've covered bread, cheese, chocolate and wine ... what else is there ?

Just kidding. That is all great but man cannot live by bread alone ... or cheese or chocolate or wine. At some point you will have to face that dreaded question ..... "What's for dinner?????"

And if you're like most women you have heard this too many times, and usually when you least feel like thinking about it.

As for you men ....

Well let's just say what a lot of you end up calling dinner usually isn't very Paleo friendly. And it really doesn't seem to matter who you are, how busy you are, where you live, or how much money you have. If you're not planning ahead .....

This is what too often happens. And any well-intentioned goals you might have to be a good role model for a future generation and save the world go right out the window.

So what can be done? Well I think Paleo eating can be simple, easy and quick if you use two tools :

  • My Easy Elephant Eating plan to train yourself painlessly in the habits that will make this plan easy, and 
  • My menu plans and recipes to make this plan simple and quick.

I am going to start out by giving you 4 weeks of general menus.  Not all the meals in these plans will suit everyone all the time, but everyone should find at least a few that will work for them and that's a good start.

I will give you the menus on Monday and during the week I will give you the recipes you need - but during the weeks preceding, so that by the time the menu is published you will have all the recipes you need right here as well.  There will also be a checklist for planning your week and a grocery checklist to go with each menu.

Once the first 4 weeks are posted I will start giving you 2 weeks of specialty menus which hopefully will fill the gaps that were left by the general ones.  If you want more time saving dishes you will get them, if you need more kid friendly recipes you will get those as well. Eventually I hope that everyone will find enough here to cover their basic needs.

My menu plans are always flexible and you can always exchange something I have in the plan with something you like better.  If you have lots of meals cooked and ready in your freezer you can even have a few no cooking at all weeks - something to aim for.

Once you have created 4 weeks of menus that you and your family enjoy and that you find easy to make, you can rotate them indefinitely.  You will always have the freedom to add or subtract new dishes whenever you wish, but with a basis of reliable recipes and a system that cuts down on the amount of time you have to spend in the kitchen, you will be a true carefree Paleo cook.  

What time you do spend cooking will be less stressful and much more enjoyable, and you will be ready to let the system do the work for you while you work at whatever is most important in your life. I hope that happens soon for each and every one of you.
