As long as you can walk, taking a walk in the country is within your reach, regardless of how much or how little money you have. In fact, even if you can't walk, if you have access to a car, you can take a drive in the country and experience a lot of the same benefits.
Walking is not only good exercise, but it's also a great way to spend some really good quality time with others.
When you ask people what they remember about their childhood, many will tell you that it's the times they spent with their parents that they remember the most, not the toys or other "things".
Many couples who live busy lives find taking a walk together a great way to reconnect. It not only lets them relax and let go of stress, it also gives them the opportunity to talk about things that often get left unsaid.
You don't need to be part of a family or a couple to appreciate the joy of a country walk. In fact this is one of the best ways to spend some time alone. To think about your life, to come up with some creative ideas for that project that has you stumped, or just to relax and think about nothing at all.
Having a dog is a great way to make sure you get out regularly. You get lot of fresh air, exercise, and the love of your furry companion as well - a definite win win situation.
For many, enjoying the outdoors while they exercise is the perfect way to multi task.
Whatever your age, whatever your financial circumstances, there is somewhere you can go to appreciate nature. Take advantage of what you have, however small, and reap the benefits.
