A few posts back I showed you how to make Keto waffles. Today I'm going to show you how I use them as a pizza base.
As I showed you, these waffles are super easy to make. You can freeze them and just take one or two out when you need them, and using a waffle base is not only healthy, it's the fastest way I know to make pizza.
Just use the waffle like you would have used any other base in the past. I like to brush the pan with some olive oil before I put on my waffle. That way the bottom gets nice and crispy.
Then all you do is put on your usual toppings - tomato sauce, cheese, etc.
Cook in a 425'F oven for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is all melted and is nice and bubbly - and you're done. Faster than take out!
And as you can see it makes a nice sturdy base that you can hold in your hands just like a regular pizza base.
The added bonus is that because the waffle is made with all protein ingredients, you don't need lots of this to feel full and satisfied. A small individual waffle pizza with a green salad on the side make an ideal dinner.
